Blizzard Turbo Boards RAD: uses only Chip RAM Type of Failure: Upon mounting of the resident ramdisk RAD: only Chip RAM is used. Fast RAM of the Blizzard is not used. Cause: The resident ramdisk RAD: does not accept the Blizzard Fast RAM. The Blizzard Fast RAM is configured by the firmware into an address space, that should prevent collisions with other expansions. Those memory address area do not match the requirements for the RAD: ramdisk. The configuration by the firmware is neccessary, because it is the only way to determine RAM size and provide a contigous memory block Solution: Use another resident ramdisk, that does not have this limitation, for example the SD0: ramdisk, available on Aminet.
