Cyberstorm 040/060 Crash during boot up on A3000(T) Type of Failure: The system crashes during boot up. No particular program seems to cause the error. Cause: For correct operation of the Cyberstorm, at least Kickstart 3.0 is required. Although using Kickstart 2.04 is possible, it is not recommended, since support of the MC68060 is restricted under Kickstart 2.04. Very early productions of the A3000 were using a bootstrap loader, which loaded the Kickstart image from disk. This "Loader" ROM is not compatible to the 68060 CPU. Solution: Install 3.1 or 3.0 ROMs. If they are not available, you may use 2.04 ROMs and the tool CyberMap, included in your Cyberstorm package, to load a Kickstart image.
