Cyberstorm MkII Error on update of the SCSI Kit Type of Failure: During the Update procedure with the Mk2Update utility the program displays an error message like "No Flashrom detected !" or just "Error !" Cause: Possible reasons are an infection with a Virus or a resident utility, that prevents you from writing to the Flashrom. In addition a defective FlashROM may also cause this error. Solution: To be sure, thet no Virus is causing that error, use a Virus Scanner. If any Virus is found, remove it according to the scanner's advices and retry the update procedure. If no Virus is causing the failure, switch off the computer and boot it with the SCSI Tools Disk inserted in the floppy drive. Resident programs should now be removed from memory. Start up the boot menu by pressing both mouse buttons and boot without Startup-Sequence. Enter Mk2Update to the CLI prompt. Should the error appear again, a defective Flashrom may be the cause for the failure. In that case please contact your local dealer distributor for warranty and/or repair.
