CyberVision64/3D

No display after program launch with Scandoubler installed

Type of Failure:

The Cybervision 64/3D screen turns black after starting a certain programm with the scandoubler installed.

Cause:

The cable is not connected properly to the scandoubler, but to the VGA output of the Cybervision64/3D. Programms that insist to open a 15khz screen (OCS,ECS/AGA) and do not let themselfs be redirected via "NEWMODE" or similar other methods will not appear on the cybervision 64/3D screen. Another reason for malfunction might be a not properly connected scandoubler and/or the connecting cable between the Cybervision64/3D and the scandoubler is not properly mounted.

Solution:

While using a one monitor solution, you must hook the VGA connector to the scandoubler/switcher. While using a two monitor solution, You must hook one monitor to the connector of the scandoubler and the second monitor to the standard Cybervision64/3D connector. Any programm that insists on opening a standard 15khz screen (OCS,ECS or AGA) will then be displayed on the monitor hooked up to the scandoubler. Assuming that all connectors are working and connected properly, please make sure that the Cybervision64/3D and the scandoubler are in place and mounted as described in the manual. Otherwise make sure that the scandoubler is hooked up to the Cybervision64/3D as described in the manual of the scandoubler.
